About Us

Microflite Aviation is a proudly 100% Australian-owned aviation provider, delivering premium charter, specialist aerial services, and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) for government, industry and private clients.

From our Moorabbin Airport headquarters in Melbourne and bases in Hobart, Perth, Broome, Darwin and Horn Island, our team of more than 150 people operates a fleet of 28 helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft, ready 24/7. For more than 20 years our iconic red aircraft have been a familiar sight over Melbourne, and today our work reaches right across Australia.

Our pilots fly critical missions, from aerial firefighting and search and rescue to more than 15,000 hours of ISR. As an Airbus Approved Training Centre and an Airbus Helicopters Authorised Service Centre, our training and engineering teams develop skilled pilots and keep our fleet and our clients’ aircraft in premium condition.

Our aim is simple: to set the benchmark for excellence in aviation. That means the right people, clients first, exceptional standards in safety and quality, investment in the best aircraft and equipment, and always looking for a better way to operate.
