Filming

Our versatile fleet provides the perfect aerial platforms for both handheld and gyro-stabilised cameras.

For over 10 years, our helicopters have been used for the filming of live-to-air TV events including the Melbourne Cup and Spring Racing Carnival, Australian MotoGP and the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race.

We’ve also worked with the producers of a number of feature films, documentaries and television series including The Amazing Race, Australia’s Got Talent, X-Factor, The Biggest Loser, Jack Irish and The Block. Microflite has provided helicopters for filming to support the planning and review of major construction works and infrastructure development.

Our helicopters are equipped with three or four-bladed rotor systems to provide stability and reduce vibration, and our fleet includes helicopters with low noise profiles for sound-sensitive work.
We fly day and night. Camera operators or additional equipment can be provided.

What our clients are saying...

Aerial filming is a technically demanding task to get right. As aerial cinematographers, it’s essential for us that the pilot & aircraft are right for the job as the shoot does not always offer a ‘second take.’ We have flown with Microflite for many years because of their ability to get ‘the shot’ every time thanks to their skilled film pilots & flawless fleet of aircraft. From planning through to filming, Microflite’s professional approach makes our job easier by allowing us to focus on the creative side, safe in the knowledge that their entire team is committed to making the shoot safe & successful.
